Thomas Ferguson
Thomas joined Rae & Partners Lawyers after graduating from the University of Tasmania in 2025 with Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Law, achieving First Class Honours in Law. He completed his Practical Legal Training with the College of Law and was admitted to the legal profession in 2026.
During his studies, Thomas served in several roles as a parliamentary staffer, where he developed a strong understanding of the importance of legal institutions and their role in maintaining a well-functioning society.
Thomas brings a diverse professional background to his legal career, with experience across the public service, hospitality, and community and religious organisations. In these roles, he has led teams and volunteers, driven by a commitment to making a positive impact.
He has a strong interest in public policy, law, and civil institutions, and closely follows current affairs and emerging technologies, particularly their implications for the future of legal practice.
Outside of work, Thomas enjoys playing the guitar and reading.
